FFA Meets Monday
The monthly meeting of
the Perkins-Tryon FFA was
held January 17.
Guy Rose told the group
about the livestock team's
trip to Denver where they
won third in the nation.
Mr. Jennings handed out
greenhand pins to the
sophomores who didn't get
them last year. Then he held
a contest to see who could

QUEEN IS CHOSEN
Jennifer Dodrill, daughter
of Cecil and Sue Dodrill has
been selected by the
basketball boys to be the new
1976-77 Basketball Queen.
Jennifer is presently a junior
and will soon be celebrating
her 17th birthday on
February 7.
Playing as forward, Jenni-
fer is a starter and has been
on the high school basketball
team the. past three years.
She has enjoyed basketball
since way back in grade
school and hopes to eventu-
ally play basketball in
college.
When Jennifer was asked
about her reaction when told
she was queen, she stated,
"l thought Coach Madison
and Coach Bunch were
joking. It was a nice
surprise!"
Being busy in school
activities takes up most of
her spare time. She is very
active in FFA, which she has
served as FFA Sweetheart.
and Vice-President. She has
won several Sheep Show-
manship awards and once
won Grand Champion Char-
lois at the Payne County
Fair. She's also a member of
FHA. track, and pep club.
Jennifer's hobbies are, of
course, working with her
. sheep and practicing basket-
ball. She also admits, she
likes to "run around."
We asked Jennifer to
comment about how the
crowd's spirit affects how the
team plays a game. "If the
crowds are excited, it gets
the team excited. But if
they're down, so are we."

JIMMY TO ESCORT BILLIE
LINCOLN
Jimmy Parrack, fifteen
year old son of Doyle and
Charlotte Parrack, has been
playing basketball since he
was six years old. He will
escort Biilie Lincoln in the
homecoming. A starting
forward on the varsity team
this year, Jimmy remembers
his most exciting game as his
first on the varsity when
they played against Glencoe.
He says that while he is
playing he notices the
loudness and quietness of
the crowd as the game
progresses.
Jimmy says his most
embarrassing moment in a
game was when he was in
6th grade. He was in the
middle of the court when
someone yelled, "Shoot." He
shot and then looked at the
clock which still had 2
minutes.
"1 was speechless with
gratitude when they asked
me to be an excort in the
coronation," smiled Jimmy.
His other honors include
being chosen "Best Dressed
in Who's Who and getting to Mr. and Mrs. Max Clary. TIM, SOPH. ESCORT sewing, basketball, and Bright these days."
