PROCLAMATION AND NOTICE OF ELECTION
Under and by virtue of Section 26, Article 10, of the
Constitution, as amended, and Title 70, Article XV of the
Oklahoma Statutes, 1971, and laws supplementary and amendatory
thereto, and Resolution of the Board of Education of Independent
School District Number 56 of Payne County, Oklahoma,
adopted the 26th day of February, 1973, an election to be held
~: in said School District is hereby called to be held on the 3rd
day of April, 1973, for the purpose of submitting te the registered
qualified electors thereof the following Proposition:

PROPOSITION
SHALL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
NUMBER 56 OF PAYNE COUNTY, OKLAHOMA,
INCUR AN INDEBTEDNESS BY ISSUING ITS
NEGOTIABLE COUPON BONDS IN THE SUM OF
ONE HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND ($130,000.00)
DOLLARS TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ACQUIRING AND IMPROVING SCHOOL SITES;
CONSTRUCTING, REPAIRING, REMODELING AND
F-~UIPPING SCHOOL BUILDINGS; ANDACQUIRING
SCHOOL FURNITURE, FIXTURES AND
EQUIPMENT; AND LEVY AND COLLECT AN
ANNUAL TAX, IN ADDITION TO ALL OTHER
TAXES, UPON ALL THE TAXABLE PROPERTY
IN SUCH DISTRICT SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE
INTEREST ON SUCH BONDS AS IT FALLS DUE,
AND ALSO TO CONSTITUTE A SINKING FUND FOR
THE PAYMENT OF THE PRINCIPAL THEREOF
WHEN DUE, SAID BONDS TO BEAR INTEREST
NOT TO EXCEED THE RATE OF SIXANDTHREE-
FOURTHS (6 3/4%) PER CENTUM PER ANNUM,
PAYABLE SEMI-ANNUALLY, AND TO BECOME
DUE SERIALLY WITHIN TEN (10) YEARS FROM
THEIR DATE?
The Ballots used at Said election shall set out
the Proposition as above set forth, and shall also
contain the words:
IST~FOR THE ABOVE PROPOSITION.
2ND~AGAINST THE ABOVE PROPOSITION.
"~ ~ (If the voter desires to vote For the Above Proposition, he
shah stamp an "X') in the first square above; if he desires to
vote Against the Above Proposition, he shall stamp an "X"
In the second square above.)
The polls shall be opened at 7:00 o'clock, A.M. and remain
open continuously until and be closed at 7:00 o'clock, P.M.
The number and location of the polling places and the persons
who shall conduct said election shall be as follows:
At the Perkins High School Library; Naudain Lore, Inspector,
Beulah Cox, Judge, and Olive Kriel, Clerk.
At the Tryon Elmentary School Library; Homer Culie,
Inspector, I. J. Howerton, Judge, and Frank Silverthorn, Clerk.
Such officers shall also act as counters.
WITNESS our hands as President and Clerk of the Board of
Education and the seal of said School District this 26th day of
February, A.D., 1973.
