" Clayton News " Mrs, Jennie ]Busch Post making and fence building is the order of the day. Those making fences ari pots the past week were Quincy Rusco, Joe and Orval Burton and Frank Busch. The gardens are greening up fter a ice and frost. Some gar- deners replanted their early gar- dens. John Watkins of Ripley pur- chased a tractor planter from Crl Bingnmn. Leslie Ringwald's are having '@lring done on the hutmen' house. John Ringwald. st.. who works at Skedee for the Railroad gets to come home weekends. John Barth of Stillwater spent Sunday here with his sister. Mrs Busch and husband. A large crowd attended the MeOinty day at Ripley Monday. About six bands were in the parade. The parade marched by Mrs McOinty's home for her to enjoy. She is quite poorly. Allle Mc@inty rode in the parade as usual. A lunch was served at noon and our friend GUy Buckles held the lucky num her that drew the fat calf. Mr and Mrs Lew Cheney of Blackwll. and daughter, Mrs Pearl Busch and two sons from Cushing spent Thursday here. Paul Busch left Itonday for another trip to Louisiana for his oil Co. We Join with our nephew George Burlin of Tulsa over the loss of his company's president, W., B. Skelly. George is product- Ion superintendent and stock holder for the past 25 years. Michael BUSch of Ripley who has been quite poorly for the pest everal weeks returned to l'ds home after a three week stay 1Yere wih his brother. Frank Epper was sold. Mrs Luke Loving is caring for her mother who is ill at her home sOUth of Perkins. Frank Busch was the first to have pheasant eggs ready to hatch this week. Paul Busch was the first to re- port catching fish which were some nice bass.
