Several from this community ttended the funeral of Mr Mer- Idth Heiser Monday afternoon. Mr Hoister passed away at Okla- homa City, but had lived in this Community for several years. Benedict and Donna of Ponca City in their home for dinner Easter. Easter guests of Mrs E. E. Hill- house were Mr and Mrs Billy Brookshire of Cushing and Mr and Mrs Ted Franklin and family of Oklahoma City. Mr and Mrs I. D. Vassar left last week on a business trip to the western states. Mrs Gace Warren spent Easter in Guthrie with Mrs Alvin Wood- ard and family. Sunday guests of Mr and Mrs orchard for all the rooms in our building. It looks as if the freeze has killed most of lhe pear crop. One of our groups is beginning to read Friendly Village, after finishing Come Along. Another finished On We Go and Friendly Village. We can take bigger as- signments and go faster since we know how to sound out new words.
