The Perkins Journal, Thursday, May 13. 1993 -PAGE 5 Deputies called to fight at Perkins Y Sale Barn Three sheriff deputies answered a "fight" call at the Perkins Y Sale Barn the morning of May 5. "It was an education in human nature," said Payne County Sheriff Carl Hiner. "What apparently happened is an elderly gentleman came to the sale for the first time, didn't know the procedure and cut in front of another individual. He was verbally chastised for the cut in line. Beyl reaches 3A dash finals SIRLOIN TIPS 3.99 MOORE - Perkins-Tryon junior sprinter Krystal Beyl qualified for the Class 3A state finals in the 200 meters Wednesday after the track and field finals were washed out last Saturday. Beyl ran a 25.9, finishing fourth in her heat and seventh overall among the finalists. Senior Kessie Brown, who qual- ified for state in the shot, was also scheduled tO make her medal bid Wednesday. VFW Family Night STILLWATER - Family night at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2027 and Auxiliary at 7 p.m Monday, May 17, in the VFW Building, 505 W. Sixth. It's a covered dish affair.
