We see the word "revival" in
most church bulletins at least
once or maybe twice a year. For
the most part we seem to link
the word revival with the night-
ly services for a week or two un-
der the ministry of an invited
minister called the evangelist.
The evangelist ministers the
Word of Life night after night.
and at the end of the alloted
: ; nulnber of services the revival
is over. But the truth is there is
more to it than this.
Times have changed, men have
changed, but the Lord said that
He is "the same yesterday, and
today, and forever." Hob. 13.8.
Has the word revive? Revive is
used in connection wth a medi-
cal doctor's work on an uncon-
scious person. The act of regain-
ing consciousness is called re-
vival. Today most of our church-
es are sufering from a state of
unconsciousness and are in need
of the service of the Great Phy-
sician. So the revival of the
