The STEER INN FAMILY REST-
AURANTS were founded on tradition and are
the result of a hearty pioneer heritage. Found-
sd by an old-fashioned farm family, who were
not afraid of work, believing that those who put
forth the effort were the ones whoprospered.
The family's philosophy, coupled with hard
work, is responsible for the progress their
restaurant business has enjoyed.
Coming to this area at the time of the run,
the family staked their claim and lived in a sod-
dy until they built their first dwelling in 1906,
just prior to statehood.

firmly convinced that if you offered a dollar's
value for a dollar's price, you would succeed,"
Rebecca and Bill Richardson (New Managers--
Partners of the Perkins Steer Inn) said.
In addition, the family felt the need for a
unique, as well as an enjoyable atmosphere.
Consequently, all the family businesses have
the old-fashioned antique "!oak."
They have maintained the family at-
mosphere which began with "Mama's county
fair prizes from experience in cooking for a large
family, and the 'oohs and ahs' at her own table,
combined with papa's solid business sense and
continuous attention to a 'good deal' for the
customer, made their business prosper and
grOW."
