Kristina Anne Singleton, never met a stranger. She
age 24, left this world on
Saturday, May 28, 2011.
She was horn
on February

Diana Kane
and Bryce
Singleton.
Funeral ser-

June 2, 2011
at 11:00 a.m. at Strode
Funeral Home, Stillwater,
OK. Interment followed at
Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Strode Funeral Home was
in charge of arrange-
ments.
She attended- school
in Perkins, Oklahoma
graduating Valedictorian
of the class of 2005. She
was a cheerleader, played
basketball and softball,
active in band, and stu-
dent government. She
attended the University of
Oklahoma and Oklahoma
State University gradu-
ating from OSU with a
double Bachelor's degree
in Political Science and
Philosophy in 2010 with
plans to attend Tulsa Uni-
versity School of Law in
the fall of 2011.
Kristina was a loving
daughter, granddaugh-
ter, sister, niece, cousin
and friend, but most
of all a loving mother.
Although her life was so
short lived, she touched
so many people's hearts
with the vibrancy she car-
ried with her. She was
always happy no mfitter
the Circumstances. She
was smart, funny, and
intelligent with incompa-
rable ambition. She was
friends with everyone and
loved family cookouts and
holidays, she was the life
of these func-
tions. She also
loved sPend-
ing time with
friends. Most
of all she loved
being with
her four year
old daughter
Karlee, who
was her heart and soul.
They were like two prin-
cesses in one. They were
best friends. She will be
dearly missed by everyone
who knew her.
She is survived by her
daughter Karlee, mother
Diana Kane of Perkins,
Ok., father Bryce Single-
ton of Stillwater, Ok.,
sister Chloe Kane, her
devoted and loving grand-
parents who raised her,
Tony "papaw" and Shirley
"mamaw" Saberniak all of
Perkins, Ok and grandpar-
ents Larry Singleton and
Adelia Singleton, both
of Stillwater, OK. She
is also survived by aunts
Tana (Danny)Tollerson,
Carney, Tara (Nana)
Asare, of Edmond and Lar-
issa Clark, Stillwater and
one uncle, Donny Ward
of Arizona and numerous
great aunts/uncles, cousins
and other relatives.

He was born on Decem-
ber 21, 1955 in Stillwater
Oklahoma to John and
Betty Knight. He attended
school in Perkins, Okla-
homa and graduated from
Oklahoma State University
with a bachelor's degree in
Animal Science. He served
in the United States Air
Force. He was a carpenter
and an ordained minister.
He married Linda Kay
Broomfield on October
14, '1978. They later
divorced.
He is preceded in death by
his parents.
He is survived by three
sons; John Robert Knight,
Gavin Levi Knight and
Dakotah James
Knight. One
daughter; Des-
tiny Lorene
Knight, all of
Perkins, Okla-
homa. Two
sisters; Betty
May Driskel of
Perkins, Okla-
homa and Dorothy Marie
Beames, brother-in-law;
Calvin Greenwood Beames
of Ardmore, Oklahoma
and grandchildren; Rainey
Michelle Knight and John
Matthew Knight of Per-
kins; and several nieces
and nephews.

Michael was born
May 5, 1939 to Sam and
Ellen Costello Rose in
Sheffield, England. He
was raised and graduated
from high school in the
Sheffield area. While in
high school, Michael met
the love of his life, Patri-
cia Hollingsworth. After
graduation, Michael
attained his electrician's
certification. He joined
the British Army and was
stationed in Germany for
two years as part of the
Royal Artillery. Upon
his return to Sheffield,
Michael married Pat and
the couple had a son,
Peter Rose,
In 1967, the Rose Family
immigrated to Canada.
Michael was employed
by the Canadian Pacific
Railroad for 14 years as
an electrician. In 1981,
he accepted a job with
OG&E and the family.
relocated to Stillwater,
OK. Michael
worked for
OG&E for 11
years before
his retirement.
In 2000, he
accepted
a job as
• the"electrical
pro" with
Lowes, retir-
ing in 2005.
When he was not
working, Michael
enjoyed gardening and
spending time with his
family, especially his
three grandchildren.
He was also a member
of the local Knights of
Columbus.
Michael Rose is sur-
vived by his wife of 48
years, Pat Rose. A son:
Peter Rose and wife
Miriam, of Mulvane,
KS. Three grandchil-
dren: Brittany, Daniel,
and Catherine Rose, all
of Mulvane, KS.

June Lewis, 87, died on
Monday, May 30, 2011
in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

She was born in Duncan,
Oklahoma on July 13, 1923
to Sterling and Mary Helen
(Hollingsworth) Wiles.
She attended Duncan High
School, and married Clar-
ence Ray "Buddy" Lewis
in Altus, Oklahoma on
June 5, 1942. June was the
first woman to be employed
by Western Electric, as
a switchboard operator,
when it first opened its
plant in Oklahoma City.
She retired from Western
Electric in 1980 and moved
to Stillwater to be near her
daughter and grandchil-
dren. She sold Avon for
a while, and she enjoyed
being a member of the
Presbyterian Church, Still-
water Hospital
Volunteers,
Alpha Bells
Home Exten-
sion Club and
the Telephone
Pioneers.
She is pre-
ceded in death
by her parents
and her husband of more
than fifty years.
She is survived by her
son, Dr. Gary Ray Lewis,
of San Diego, CA; daugh-
ter, Janna, and husband,
Allen Murphy, of Still-
water, OK; granddaugh-
ter, Rebecca, husband,
Scott, and sons, Andrew
and Lance Petermann, of
Stillwater, OK; and grand-
daughter, Katherine, hus-
band Tim, and son, Jacob
Levi Katzung, of Keystone
Colony at Lake Keystone,
Cleveland, OK.

age 93 of Saint John,
Missouri and formerly
Stillwater, Oklahoma,
died on Wednesday, June
1, 2011 in Saint John.
Funeral Services were
held Monday, June 6, 2011,
at Bible Baptist Church in
Stillwater. Burial followed
at Elm Grove Cemetery.

He was the beloved hus-
band for 58 years of the
late Wilma L. Brock (nee

Wilkins Graduates Magna cunl Laude
Kimberley Jo Taylor Wilkins graduated from Kansas City
Kansas Community College on May 19 with an AAS in Pre-
Nursing. Her honors included Magna cure Laude, Phi Theta
Kappa - Mu Delta Chapter, Honor Society and a 4.0 grade
point average. She resides in Prairie Village, Kansas with
her daughter Halley. Kimberley is the daughter of Patrick and

Lyndall Stout Inducted
Lyndall Stout of Stillwater was inducted into the Arkansas
Tech University Hall of Distinction during spring commencement
ceremonies at John E. Tucker Coliseum on Saturday, May 14.
Stout is the first woman and only the third person to be inducted
into the Arkansas Tech Hall of Distinction under the Outstanding
Young Alumnus category. Selection for the Arkansas Tech Hall
of Distinction is the highest honor that the university can bestow
upon art alumnus. Originally from Pawhuska, Stout has built her
career in the television industry since completing her bachelor's
degree at Arkansas Tech in 1994 and her master's degree at
Louisiana State University in 1998. She worked at television
stations in Texas, Arkansas and Pennsylvania before returning to
her native Oklahoma in October 2010 to serve as host and senior
producer for SUNUP, a weekly agriculture television program that
airs on public broadcasting stations around the state. SUNUP is
produced by the Oklahoma State University Division of Agricultural
Services and Natural Resources. She is the daughter of Perry
and Marilyn Stout of Stillwater and Brenda Gates of Tulsa.
