THREE-EIGHTHS CENT COUNTY SALES TAX ROAD MONEY
NOTIFICATION RESOLUTION

Schlegal (SH33 to Sac & Fox Road)
Double Chip and Seal
WHEREAS, Payne County passed a County Sales Tax with 53 pement desig-
nated to be used for capital improvements on county roads, and WHEREAS,
Payne County Distnct I has chosen as a pnodty project 1 1/2 miles of Schlegal,
north from SH33 to Sac & Fox Road for double chip and seal surfacing, and
WHEREAS, this road is a major collector, bus route, mail route, and has a high
traffic count. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Payne County au-
thonzes use of an estimated $78,000 of said sales tax funds for the project
i clescribed above. Presented and approved this 14th day of May, 2001.

The Payne County Board of Commissioners met in a Regular meeting, Mon-
day, May 21, 2001. Notice of the meeting was made by posting an agenda in
accordance with the Open Meeting Law. The following were pmsant: Gloria
Hesser, Chairman; Jim Arthur, Vice-Chairman; Bill Deedng, Member; Shern
Schieffer, County Clerk.
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was opened
with Prayer and Flag salute.
Arthur presented proposed Engineering plan from Department of Transporta-
tion for County Bridge project, BRO160-d (046)(co; located on 104th off Coun-
try Club on an unnamed tributary. The cost of the project is $260,000, to be
paid from Federal funding. Deering made the motion to approve the Plan as

Deering presented Sales Tax Project Resolution:

WHEREAS, Payne County passed a County Sales Tax with 53 percent desig-
nated to be used for capital improvements on county roads, and WHEREAS,
Payne County Distnct 1 has chosen as a priority project 1 mile of Oak Grove
Road, north from SH33 to Gmndstaft Road for double chip and seal surfacing,
and
WHEREAS, this road is a major collector, bus route, mail route, and has a high
traffic count. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Payne County au-
thorizes use of an estimated $52,000 of said sales tax funds for the project
described above. Presented and approved this 21 st day of May, 2001.

WHEREAS, Payne County passed a County Sales Tax with 53 percent desig-
nated to be used for capital improvements on county roads, and WHEREAS,
Payne County District 1 has chosen as a pnodty project 2 miles of 9T" Street,
west from SH99 to Euchee Valley Road for 4" asphalt oveday surfacing, and
WHEREAS, this road is a major collector, bus route, mail route, and has a high
traffic count. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Payne County au-
thorizes use of an estimated $251,000 of said sales tax funds for the project
described above. Presented and approved this 21st day of May, 2001.

The Chairman presented the application for road name from Chades Kline for
reconsideration. Hesser explained that the road in question is not an exten-
sion of Brethem Road as previously stated; but a pnvate rOad leading to Mr.
Kline's home. Them is one other residence that accesses their home by the
private road. Mr. Kline stated that he is currently in process of making improve-
ments for another home site. Hesser stated that the Road Name Policy states
that for a road to be named it must have at least three residences served. After
discussion, Deedng made the motion to table the request until such time as
them am throe established msidencss served by the Road. Arthur seconded.

Schleffer presented bid evaluation letter from IXL Community Center. They
have requested all bids be rejected and the project be m-bid. Arthur made the

Mr. John Stanfill, CGI Long Distance Service, pmsanted information to the Board
regarding long distance telephone service. Stanfill's proposal was for long dis-

Board tabled the Lease for study and discussion with Darr.
Commissioner Arthur presented the purchase contract for Lease/Purchase of
road equipment as required by OTC. Arthur noted this equipment was ap-
proved for purchase through the Revolving Road Fund. The total purchase
price for 2-10Wheel End Dump Trucks if $126,902. Payne County was ap-
proved for $!16,000. The Purchase contract states that Payne County will pay
the difference of $10,902. Arthur made the motion to approve the Contract.
