JOan Clark Roesler, 84, of Still-
ater, died on Saturday, July
3 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

ing. Strode
Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements.
Joan was born on July 14,
1925 in Oklahoma City to
George Emsley Clark and
Jessie Maud Skorkowsky.
She married Bernard Roesler
on June 10,1948 in Rosenberg,
Texas. They were married for
sixty-two years.
Joan and Bernard lived in
Sweeny, Texas and Bartles-
ville, Oklahoma. They retired
to Hot Springs Village, Arkan-
sas before moving to Stillwater
in-2000. They were members
of the First United Method-
ist Church and the Charitus
Sunday School Class. She
was an active participant in

the Duplicate Bridge Group at
the Stillwater Senior Citizens
Center, and she loved to read.
She is survived
by her husband,
Bernard Roesler;
two daughters,
Beverly Sharp
and husband, Dr.
H.R. Sharp, of
Olton, Texas; and
Debbie Smith
of Stillwater,
Oklahoma; six
grandchildren, Michael Sharp
and wife, Roherta, of Purcell;
Kerri Mahan and husband,
Joe, of Katy, Texas; Carol
Cross and husband, Brian, of
Longmont, Colorado; Erica
Townsend and husband, Will,
of Saint Louis, Missouri; Cheri
Kemp and husband, Josh, of
Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Sarah
Sharp of Olton, Texas; and six
great grandchildren.

pherson Kroutil left this
life June 27, 2010 at the age
of 100. Funeral
services were
held at 10:00
a.m. on Friday,
July 2, 2010 at
Zion Lutheran
Church in
Stillwater with
Pastor Velmer
Goebel officiat-
ing. Interment followed at
Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Strode Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
Clara was born on March
10, 1910 to Andrew and
Marie Christopherson in
Naples, South Dakota. She
had fond memories of life
growing up on a big farm
in South Dakota where she
was raised with 3 sisters
and 3 brothers.
She attended Augustana
C'ollege where she received
a' teaching certificate
and taught in a one room
sghool house for 4 years,
ubtil she met and married
Wesley Victor Kroutil,
vho was there harvesting,
oll July 12, 1933. They then
moved to the Glencoe area
of Oklahoma.
Clara was a faithful
Cihristian. She and her
family were members of
te Zion Lutheran Church,
vith the Lutheran Wom-
en's Missionary League,
and Vacation Bible School.
She saw to it that her chil-
dren were confirmed and
baptized.
She gardened,
did crafts,
and she and
Wesley loved
to dance.
She also
worked many
years in the
cafeteria of
the Jefferson
Elementary School.
A kind and gentle person,
Clara will be missed by all
who knew her especially
her children, grandchildren,
and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death
by her parents, Andrew and
Marie; husband, Wesley;
two brothers; two sisters;
and one son, Andrew
Kroutil.
She is survived by one
son, Larry Kroutil, from
Luther, OK; two daughters,
Jan Westmoreland and hus-
band, Gary of Stillwater,
OK and Eileen Borland and
husband, Tom of Stillwater,
OK; one brother, Alf Chris-
topherson of Watertown,
SD; one sister, Hazel Ness
of Clark, SD; seven grand-
children; 13 great grand-
children; and one great-
great grandchild.

Mary "JoAnn" Fowler, 70
of Stillwater, died on Saturday,
July 3, 2010 in Stillwater, Okla.
A Rosary will he
held in her honor
on Tuesday,
July 6, 2010
at St. Francis
Xavier Catholic
Church at 7 pm,
followed by a
funeral service
on Wednesday,
July 7, 2010, at
10 am with Father Ken Harder
officiating, under the direction
of Strode Funeral Home.
JoAnn was born May 25,
1940 in Parsons, Kansas to
Orrie Shields and Eunice
Hart Shields. She graduated
from Altamont High School
in Altamont, Kansas and later
earned a license in Cosmetol-
ogy. She married Charles
Fowler on July 2, 1960 at St.
Patrick's Catholic Church in
Parsons, Kansas. They were
married 50 wonderful years.
JoAnn enjoyed attending
OSU and Pioneer sporting
events with her husband
Charles. She also enjoyed
attending all activities her
grandchildren participated in.
She worked at Grace Living
Center in Sfillwater as a beau-
tician. Her compassion was
evident as she cared for the
residents there for 33 years.
She spent most of her time
loving and
supporting her
family. She was
totally devoted
to her loving
husband, family
and the Catholic
Church.
JoAnn was pre-
ceded in death
by her parents
and brothers Bob Shields and
Raymond Shields.
She is survived by her hus-
band Charles of the home,
daughter Karen Cryer and
husband Rudee of Stillwater,
son, Kevin Fowler and wife
Kris of Stillwater, son, Khristo-
pher Fowler and wife Peggy of
Cushing, Oklahoma. She was
a loving Mother and Grand-
mother to her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be given in
her name to the "Capital Cam-
paign Fund" care of St. Francis
Xavier Catholic Church, 601
S. West St. Stillwater, Ok.
74074.

18, 1926 Hugo, Oklahoma
to Waydaon Wallar and
Beckie Lyons. She married
Lester Lemon Harris in 1952
in Amarillo, Texas.
She was a homemaker, liked
crocheting, playing bingo, Irav-
eling, spending time at the lake
with her family, and spending
time with her grandchildren.

LaDona Colene Gibson, age
71 of Wellston, Oklahoma
passed away suddenly early
Friday morning,
July 2, 2010, at
her home. Her
funeral services
were entrusted
to the care of the
Palmer Marler
Funeral Home of
Perkins and were
held at 10 a.m.
on Tuesday, July,
6, 2010 at the Palmer Marler
Funeral Home Chapel in Per-
kins with Brother Robin Foster
officiating. Committal Prayers
and Interment followed in the
Perkins Cemetery at Perkins,
Oklahoma.
LaDona was bom on April 13,
1939 in Oklahoma City, Okla-
homa and was the daughter of
James L. and Rose Catherine
Gibson. She grew up in Okla-
homa City and graduated from
Northwest Classen High School
in Oklahoma City. She attended
college for a time where she
studied art. She loved to design
clothing and her best designing
was dresses. She worked for
twenty years as an operator
for AT&T. She
enjoyed cooking,
watching reli-
gious programs
on TV, animals
especially cats,
her family and
playing on the
computer. She
lived in Wellston
since March of
2007 moving from Oklahoma
City.
She is survived by a son
Michael Cypert and his wife
Kriss of the home; a daughter,
Julie Workes and husband John
of Littleton, Colorado; two sis-
ters, Pat Hammond and husband
Jay of Bethany, Oklahoma and
Erlene Wells of Oklahoma
City; eight grandchildren and
eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents.
