on a wild pitch to help with
the outburst.
Taylor Smith pitched the
first four innings giving up
the two runs on two hits. He
struck out seven but walked
five. Zayne Dougan mopped
up in relief in the top of the
fifth and retired the side in
order while notching a pair
of strikeouts.
Mullins, Marone, and
Boles each had two hits
to lead P-T at the plate.
Mullins, Boles, and Taylor
Smith pounded a double
each.
In the second game, the
junior varsity Demons used
a four-run rally in the home
portion of the fourth inning
for the win.
Mannford took an early
lead with two runs in the
top of the first. P-T plated
single runs in the second
and third innings to forge a
2-2 tie. Tanner Bridenstine
scored in the second inning
after a Taylor Watts single.
In the third, Mark Gilbert
walked then later scored
on a wild pitch.
The Pirates added two
more runs in the top of the
fourth to take their last lead
of the game.
In the bottom of the
frame, Bridenstine reached
on a one out single then
scored PLT's first run
when Kyle Richards hit a
fielder's choice that forced
Taylor Watts out at second.
Richards scored on a Reese
bases loaded walk for a 4-
4 tie.
Gilbert reached on an
error and later scored when
Taylor Smith was hit by a
B1
pitCh with the bases loaded.
That gave P-T a 5-4 advan-
tage. An insurance run was
added when Alley scored
on a Dougan single for what
proved to be the 6-4 final
score. Alley had reached on
a base hit.
In the top of the fifth,
Dougan capped his per-
formance on the mound
by striking out the side to
preserve the win. The right-
hander went the distance
striking out eight while
giving up the four runs on
three hits.
Watts led the Demons
at the plate with a pair of
singles in two trips. lley,
Dougan, and Bridenstine
each singled.

Football 101 For Women
clinic on Saturday, July
31. Check-in is at 4 p.m.
in the Wes Watkins Center
and the deadline tO register
is July 29.
The clinic is geared
toward women that are
Cowboy fans wanting an
authentic OSU football
game day experience.
Participants will enjoy
a meal in the same plush
training table dining area
where the Cowboys eat and
will get both individual and
group instruction from the
Oklahoma State coaches in
the position meeting rooms
that the team utilizes.
There will be an exclu-
sive question-and-answer
session with Mike Gundy
and his wife, Kristen as well
as presentations on team
equipment, training room
techniques and strength and
conditioning from members
of the OSU staff.
Participants will experi-
ence the rush that comes
from storming the field at
Boone Pickens Stadium
how the Cowboys do
on game day. The OSU
coaches will conduct game
huddle sessions on the
field and there will be a
Team 101 group picture.
Also included as part of
the event are door prizes, a
clinic shirt, giveaways and
much more.
