Cecil Oren White
1918-2012
With the love of family and
friends, Cecil Oren White
passed away on July 19,
2012, at the age
of 94. His resi-
dence had been
in Stillwater
for the last few
years. A memo-
rial service will
be held at 11:
00 a.m. on Sat-
urday, August
4, 2012 at the
Church of Christ
in Burlington, Oklahoma.
Strode Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
He was born February 7,
1918, in Alfalfa County, OK,
the fourth child of Elmer and
Mary White. After gradua-
tion from Burlington High
School, he farmed near Bur-
lington, served in the Army
in England during World
War II, and then returned to
farming. He married Corine
Deason, who was a home
demonstration agent in
Alfalfa County, in 1953. He
was an active member of the
Burlington Church of Christ
and served on the Alfalfa
County Soil Conservation
Board and the Burlington
School Board.
He is survived
by his son Craig
White, of Guth-
fie, his daughter
Celeste Camp-
bell, of Still-
water, and his
five grandchil-
dren: Jeremiah
White, Jessie
White Waiters
and Nathan,
Aaron, and Logan Campbell,
and his one great grandchild,
Jackson Waiters.

1923-2012
John W. Etsch, 88, died
on July 27, 2012 in Stillwa-
ter, OKlahoma. His funeral
service was at
1 la.m., Wednes-
day, August 1 at

with Robert Fel-
lows officiating.
Internment was
at Fairlawn Cem-
etery. Strode
Funeral Home
was in charge of arrange-
ments.
John was bom on October
9, 1923 to August and Alice
Etsch in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. He
married Gail Etsch on April 11,
1959 in Westport, Ct.
John served in the Navy
during World War II and
attended Bridgeport Univer-
sity where he received his
Master's in Education. He was
the owner of Bolton Nursery
School in Westport, Ct.
John was very active in
every community he lived in
as a Mason and
a Rotarian, Spe-
cial Policeman
in Westport, Ct.
and volunteer
firefighter in
Grantham, N.H.
John was one
of the founding
members of
the Stillwater
evening Rotary's dictionary
project.
John was preceded in death
by his parents and his wife,
Gail Etsch. He is survived by
his daughter, Jennifer Etsch
and two granddaughters Mitzi
Forbeck and Billie Josepheus
and their husbands.

1930-2012

May Morgan passed from this
world on Friday, July 27, 2012
in Perkins, OK
at the age of 82.
Services will be
held 10:00 A.M.
on Thursday,
August 2, 2012
at Palmer Marler
Funeral Home
Chapel in Still-
water, OK with
Paul Anderson
officiating. Her final resting
place will be at the Fairlawn
Cemetery in Cushing.
Shirley was born in Yale,
OK on June 14, 1930 to John
Franklin and Nina Lee (Pol-
lard) Adams. She grew up in
the Ripley area and graduated
from Ripley High School. On
December 27, 1948 she and
Verlon B. Morgan were mar-
ried at the Freewill Baptist
Shirley was preceded in
death by her husband, Verlon
B. Morgan; one daughter,
Emma, her par-
ents, John Frank-
lin and Nina
Lee Adams; 3
brothers, Arthur
(Art) Garland,
and James (Jim)
Adams; and 1
sister, Dorothy
Adams Jones.
Survivors
include one son, Jade and his
wife Kim (Smith) Morgan of
Vista, CA; and three daughters
Verlynda (Morgan) Beane and
her husband Wesley of Perkins;
Marsch (Morgan) Lee and her
husband Mike of Kingfisher;
and Bonita (Morgan) Sloan and
her husband Jimmy of Perkins.
She is also survived by eight
grandchildren and six great
grandchildren and one sister,

were married nearly 48 years at
the time of his death in 1996.
Shirley became a resident of
Perkins in 1979 and worked as
a clerk for Perkins Drug Store
for 17 years. She loved her job,
her coworkers, and customers.
She loved gardening, sewing,
quilting, bingo, visiting with
friends, and Elvis. No matter
how bad Shirley felt, she always
managed to make others laugh.
Her home was always a place
that family loved to spend
time in with laughter and great
meals.
The family would like to
thank the many caregivers
Shirley has had in the last 5
years and the Adult Life Center
in Stillwater for their care and
kindness.

Pat and Fred Carnes
Carnes Celebrate Anniversary
C. Fred and Pat (Tompkins) Carnes will be celebrating
their 50th wedding Anniversary with a family hosted dinner.
They were married August 2, 1962 in Stillwater, OK. They
have lived in the Stillwater, Coyle and Perkins area for these
50 years. Their children attended and graduated from Coyle
High School, the same school where their father graduated
from. Their two surviving children are: Vicky Mills and hus-
band Joie, Jonese Bostian and husband Kevin. Grandchildren
are Dr. Amanda Bostian Miles and husband James, Lauren
Bostian, Dusty (Carnes) Kelly and Chance Mills.

1991-2012
Charles Dallas Cabe was
born on Friday, June 13, 1991.
He went home to be with his
Heavenly Father
on July 24,
2012 at 4:45pm
in Perry Okla-
homa. Services
were under the
direction of
Palmer Marler
Funeral Home
and were held
in the funeral
home chapel at
10:00 a.m. on
Saturday, July 28, 2012 with
Pastor J.B. Bond presiding.
Charles is the son of Jasper
Cabe and Katy Tusing Cabe.
He has one sister Jazrnyn Cabe
and one brother Daltyn Hall.
In addition he leaves behind
great-great grandmother Arra
Majors, Nana Emma Tusing,
grandparents Barbara Tusing,
and Donna and Jerry Bowman.
He was preceded in death by
great-great grandpa Tom
Majors, grandpa Richard
Cabe, and grandpa William
Tusing.
Charles was engaged to
be married August 3, 2012,
to Brooklin Leigh Dailey.
Charles and Brooklin lost
their son Cree Leigh Dailey
Cabe on Febru-
ary 14, 2012.
He is now in
the loving arms
of his father.

looking forward
to a long life of
happiness with
his love Brook-
lin and being a
father.
Charles

with f.ly. He was planning
complting his education.
Charles'was known as Holly-
Wood to s closest friends and

him and be a part of his life.
He will be forever missed but

Jerry Lee Going
1943-2012
Jerry Lee Going, 68, died July
22, 20 12 in Weleetka, OK after
a long illness. A graveside ser-
vice was held at 11:00 a.m. Sat-
urday, July 28, 20 12 at Lawson
Cemetery in Yale, OK. Strode
Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Jerry was bom September
11, 1943, in Stillwater, OK, to
Lester lee and Reba Evelyn
Howerton Going. He joined
the U.S. Army in 1962 where
he received commendations as
a sharpshooter and marksman
and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was married to Julie
Marder in Leeds, England and
later divorced. He eventually
went to work for the National
Security Agency where he
spent many years serving his
counlry throughout the world,
including Italy, England, Thai-
land, Africa and the Middle
East. After retiring he settled
in Yakima, Washington. He
loved all types of music, was
an avid game player especially
chess and checkers, had a great
sense of humor and loved
techie gadgets.
He is survived by his brother,
Robert I_ester Going and wife
Jane of Decatur, GA, his sis-
ters Rebecca Susan Gaskill
and husband Gary of Okemah,
OK,and Sharon Kathleen
McFarlin and husband Steve
of Carney, OK, his daugh-
ters, Gina Mae Romano and
husband Victor and Natalie
Warman and husband, Zach-
ary and two grandchildren:
Kayla Mae Craig and Colin
Warman.
He was predeceased by his
parents Lester Lee and Reba
Evelyn Going and his brother,
Daniel Arthur Going.
