has resigned because of lack of
action by the city board to
alleviate damages to the Lake
Waxhoma dam which has been
determined to be the state's
most dangerous dam. Brown
said the town board is liable if
they do not make repairs.

CHANDLER - Lincoln Coun-
tians turned down, 823 to 1189,
a proposal for a one cent coun-
ty sales tax which would have
been used to upgrade county
roads. A similar proposal in
Pottawatomie county went
down to an even larger percen-
tage of defeat.
