HOLLYWOOD -- Bradley Cooper is
prepping a reboot of the Janet Gaynor
(1937), Judy Garland (1954) and Barbra
Streisand (1976) starrer “A Star Is Born,”
this time with Lady GaGa. Clint Eastwood
was trying to get Beyonce to step into the
role, but her schedule didn’t work for the
film. Cooper executive-produced his films
“Limitless” (201 l ), which cost $27 million
and grossed $162 million; “The Words”
(2012), $6 million cost/$13 million gross;
“Silver Linings Playbook” (2012), $21
million cost/$234 million gross); “Amer— '
ican Sniper,” ($59 million cost/$547 ‘
million gross) and the recent “War Dogs,”
with Jonah Hill and Miles Teller.
In addition to starring as the fading rock
star opposite GaGa, Cooper also intends
to make this his directorial debut. All
three versions of “A Star is Born” made a
profit, especially Streisand’s, which cost
$6 million and made $80 million. Given
Cooper’s track record as an executive pro-
ducer and actor, this is a slam dunk for him.

If you’re planning a trip to Hollywood, be
careful of the sightseeing tour you choose.
Hollywood’s local NBC news conducted
a sting operation of tour groups and found
that most of the homes they pointed out as
belonging to celebrities were a lie. When
the busiest tour owner was confronted
about lying to tourists, his answer was,
friends. Use this period to check out
situations that‘soon will require a lot of
serious decision—making.
TAURUS (April 20 to May 20) Keep
that keen Bovine mind focused on
your financial situation asvit begins to
undergo some changes. Consider your

“It doesn’t matter, it’s not about reality,
it’s about perception!” One of the homes
pointed out allegedly belonged to Julia
Roberts. Julia Roberts lives in New York,
not Hollywood. The real owner is fed up
with 25 tour stops a day and home inva-
sions, and is suing the tour company.

Another tourist attraction, the Playboy
Mansion, sold for a mere $110 million
($80 million less
than the asking
price). The new
owner wanted
to occupy a por-
tion of the estate,
but Hugh Hefi
ner, founder of
Playboy Maga-
zine and 90 years
old, wants to be
his days in peace
and privacy. The
new owner had
to back off or
lose the deal. I

there and snuck
into the famed

quickly than you expected. All the facts
you need haven’t yeti. nerged, so move
cautiously. i5». "

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson didn’t
want to engage Vin Diesel while they were
working together in “Furious 8” (he’s one
of the producers and a formidable oppo-
nent). Allegedly, Vin often was late to the
set, not because he hadn’t arrived -- he just
wouldn’t come out of his trailer. So J ohn- A
son took to Facebook: “Some of my male
co-stais are chickens**t and candy asses.”
He was confronted by Wu the next day, but
they didn’t come to blows because they
still have “Furious 9 and 10” upcoming.
Talk about being between a “Rock” and a
hard place (Vin)!
