-Pecan Show--
The annual Payne Coun
ty Pecan Show is scheduled
for Dec 2 in the Payne
County Courthouse The
show is open to any Payne
County resident. Each
exhibitor can exhibit one
exhibit per named variety.
The named varieties are
Cowley, Mohawk, Schley,
Western, Wichita, Texas
60, Success, Stuart, Grak-
ing, Barton, Mahan, Peru-
que, Patrick, Hayes, and
Maramec.

trees as desired.
An exhibit of pecans will
consist of one pound of nuts
all from the same tree and
must be from the current
year's crop. Exhibits will be
displayed in open paper
plates to be furnished by
the Fair Association.
There will also be
divisions for Black Walnut
Varieties--Thomas, Ogden,
Others, Carpathian, and
Seedling walnuts.
Entries will be taken
from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and
iudging will start at 10 a.m:
Any Payne County per-
son, rural or urban, may
exhibit pecan foods in any
of the thirteen classes, as
cakes, rolls, quick breads,
cookies, candies, or spiced
nuts. Recipes (on a card
about 4 x 6") should
accompany each dish.
Exhibitors may enter only
one entry per class.
Junior division is for boys
and girls nine years of age
through high schook, or
they may compete with the
adults.
