PC Plat Books are on sale now
``Copies of the 1993 Payne
Coun Plat Book are now available
to any county citizen or business
through the payne County Conser-
vatkm District", announced Mar-
garet Swank, chairperson. Copies of
the plat books will cost $35 each
while the wall maps will sell for
$65 each. However, there is a lim-
ited supply of wall maps, she said.
Books or maps may be purchased
by coming by the district office, lo-
cated at 800 E. 6th, Room 5, in
Stillwater.
"Our district is using this project
as a fundraiser for our conserva-
tion programs as well as providing a
valuable service to county citizens,"
Swank said. The district is seeking
to improve and expand its conserve-
forty-five county businesses help us
with this project by purchasing ad-
verthin 8 in the plat book. We really
appreciate their show of suppon and
as a result we will be more success-
ful in our conservation efforts," she
said.
Plat books provide a quick own-
ership rderee of parcels of land
throughout the unincorporated parts
of the county. They provide the
user with an opportunity to locate
the parcel using legal descriptions.
Each book also contains an index
of parcels by landowner names, in-
formation about Payne County and
payne County Conservation District
and a ready reference of payne
County public e/flcials. All infor-
marion for the parcels was obtained
