4-H CLUB NEWS
The High Prairie 4-H Club held
their December meeting. The
business meeting was called to
order with the minutes of the
November meeting and roll call.
Mikeal Henry gave a report on
the Bake & Craft Sale. Stacy
Shenold gave a report on the
Sheep Expo. Several members
had sheep entered and placed.
Several of the members helped
decorate for the Achievement
Banquet. The Achievement Ban-
quet was the best ever. Thanks to
Mike Klumpp and Nancy Thom-
ason. The food was great. Thanks
to the ladies of the Methodist
Church of Glencoe.
After the meeting the members
and their families enjoyed a sup-
per celebrating Christmas.
Thanks to all the parents for their
help in preparing the food for
both the supper and bake sale,
and helping with the parade
decorations.
Remember, January is demon-
~tration month. Our next meeting
is January 7, 1985, 7:00 p.m.

AUDITORIUM BEING USED
SELLING -- The new, million'
dollar school auditorium is being
well used. The latest event is a
full-length Walt Disney film to be
held December 22, after which
Santa Claus will arrive with sacks
of candy for all the children. The
new auditorium was completed
last spring, and was paid for out
of the school's reserve and
surplus funds. Soiling is located
in an extensive deep gas and oil
division in western Oklahoma,
with numerous pipeline transpor-
tation systems and processing
plants within the district.

PAWNEE -- Chamber of Com-
merce manager Bill Welker was
surprised when several local
citizens met in the Elementary
cafetorium to honor him on his
retirement. Besides a new pair of
cowboy boots and various other
interesting gifts. Welker got a big
cake, lettered "Farewell Bill.
