Homemakers met in the
home of Charlene Meisinger
on December 6 for their
annual Christmas party. The
members enjoyed singing
Silent Night, listening to the
Christmas Story read from
the Bible and sharing
memories of a special
Christmas that were remem-
bered from the past.
Elsie Grant presented a
short program on Christmas
traditions in European coun-
tries. Many of these customs
are carried on in American
homes, notedly the exchange
of Christmas cards.
Gifts were collected to be
sent to Vinita. After the gift
exchange each member told
who her past secret pal had
been and names were drawn
for the next year.
Refreshments of coffee,
punch and several kinds of
Christmas cakes were served
to Geraldine Allen, Mary
Dodson, Elsie Grant, Opal
Olson, Agnes Cowley, Rosa
Lynn Baker, Bonnie Manke,
Ella B. McCarty, Pat Niles,
Donna Frank, Erma Brixey,
Virginia Hawxby, Pat Hise,
Mae Vassar, Pat Vassar, and
Dora Mercer.

school class meets
The Eunice Sunday School
Class of the Baptist Church
met on December 15, 1977 in
the home ef Maude Markee
and Geneva Binford for the
annual Christmas dinner and
i gift exchange.
Those attending were
Anna Reeves, Zula Hender-
son, Alice Cundiff, Rosa
Wegley, and Helen Miller.
Guests were Rev. Gowdy,
Dorothea Sanders, Mrs.
Williams, Bertie Tarlton and
the hostesses Maude and
Geneva.
In the absence of the
President, Helen Miller
conducted the business
meeting which was opened
with a song and a prayer. A
Christmas story was read in
the devotional followed by
roll call and minutes of the
last meeting.
Then the exchange of
gifts. Next meeting will be
with Mrs. Miller in January.
